A few of my followers have asked me about my butterfly cage. I have a couple of pictures here on my computer that I wanted to post.
This first picture is the first cage my wonderful DH made for me. He used old window screens to make it. The only problem with it was when I needed to clean it I had to remove the top. That was fine except when I had a chrysalis on it it was hard to put down somewhere.
Then one Christmas my DH surprised me with this beautiful cage he made secretly for me!! I have no idea how I never saw it in the garage or how I never caught him working on it lol It is absolutely perfect! Look at the adorable butterfly knobs he found to put on it!! He even put a piece of linoleum on the bottom for easy cleaning. It has a drawer where I keep my small plastic cups that I use to keep the leaves with water in as well as a small paint brush that I use to pick up the baby caterpillars without harming them.
He thought of everything!
As for stitching I am working on exchanges so I can't show anything yet. Most are stitched but not finished into anything. I am excited about one Halloween piece I am doing. I found something really cool and hopefully it will turn out how I would like :) I will post a pic of it as soon as I can!
I hope your all enjoying the beginning of fall! This is my favorite time of year!
Thank You for stopping by!
Have a great day!

What a fabulous cage! I love the butterfly knobs, such a lovely touch. My daughter has a butterfly themed bedroom and I'm sure she would love to see how caterpillars transform into butterflies.
