Windy & Cool Saturday

While most of the east coast is dealing with cold & snow we are dealing with very windy & cool weather. Yesterday afternoon we had heavy rain and a tornado warning. I am so not use to the possibility of tornadoes. Growing up in New York those things are just not that common there. Luckily a tornado didn't touch down but they were seeing circulation in the upper atmosphere right in my neighborhood. It was scarey for sure!

I have a few finishes to show that I did this week. I finally have a basket full of pin pillows/pin keeps :) My goal is to try and make a bunch for each holiday to display.

The first one is a freebie pattern from Primitive Betty. It was a nice quick stitch and looks so pretty ! Thanks Betty!

*note- my hand sewing leaves a lot to be desired LOL But I am working on it!

This next one is another freebie pattern from The Sampler Girl. I used the coffee dyed fabric that I posted in a previous post for this one. DH helped me with sewing the lace into the pillow as I was confusing myself on how it should go so when I turned the pillow right side out it would be correct lol

This next one is a freebie from Erynne Chard . I think it is just so cute and I love the colors she used. It was also a quick stitch and I enjoyed making it. Thanks Erynne!!

And here is a picture of my basket filled with pinkeeps & pin pillows

Beautiful Valentine's basket! What a great holiday display!

LOL I know what you mean about confusing sewing. Everything is upside-down-inside-out-backwards crazy! I really have to think about what I am doing when it comes to sewing. I suppose it will get easier when I have more experience.
