Laura Finally Received My Exchange!!

I was so happy & relieved to hear from Laura yesterday that she finally received the replacement exchange I sent to her. We are both in the Seasonal Exchange group and I had Laura as my partner for the Winter exchange round. I had mailed her original exchange January 27th and she never received it. So I made her a second one and this time mailed it Priority Mail on July 1st. The Post Office said it would reach her within 6 days.......Yeah! Sure! lol I know there is customs involved but why say 6 days when they know darn well it may take longer? Oh well! She received it this time and I am so happy!!

 Both times I stitched a design from Danybrod but changed the way I finished them.  I also changed the words that were on the original pattern. Although translators are a wonderful tool on the internet they don't always come out making sense.  So I opted to just use the word "Invierno" (winter). I wanted to do it in Spanish as I know that is Laura's native language and I wanted to make it special for her :)
 I used 28ct antique white evenweave and DMC threads. I also added some beads.

I am so glad Laura loved it and I cannot tell you how relieved I am that she finally has her exchange ;)
