I received a wonderful Christmas package the other day from Lisa V! Lisa stitched Santa Ornamentology by The Trilogy for me on evenweave with DMC threads and a beaded edging! I just love the beaded edging. She also included a bunch of extra goodies which include a Christmas garland of Santa and his laundry line (it is ADORABLE!) a cute reindeer Christmas bag, floss, Bent Creek chart, a reindeer charm and Christmas stickers! I LOVE it all Lisa! Thank You so very much my friend!! I took a picture of the garland hanging on my living room wall and it looks wonderful :)
Yesterday I received my Hooked on Exchanging Stitcher's Choice Ornament from Edgar!! Edgar stitched "Noel" from Heartstring Primitives "Tidings of Comfort & Joy" pattern on 32ct Twilight blue joblean with NPI & HDF silks instead of the DMC threads called for. It is absolutely stunning and looks wonderful on my tree!! Edgar has had my name a few times this year in the Perpetual ornament exchange so I have a section of my tree dedicated to his wonderful pieces! I have loved all of the ornaments you have made me Edgar and will treasure them always! Thank You so very much!
Oh and how could I forget!! Edgar also included a bag of Ghirardelli chocolates in my package which I have hidden from the "others" in my family LOL They are MINE! :)
I am still working on the ornament for my son's teacher. I should have read the pattern better as I noticed (too late) that it includes 22 French Knots! I am terrible at them and was going to use beads instead. Well that didn't work as the beads are for the eyes and they were too big. They are small seed beads but I guess I need the petite ones. So I decided to take a look on the net for instructions on how to make French Knots. I figure maybe this time it will sink in my head lol I actually found a wonderful tutorial here with pictures and everything!! And I am happy to say it has now sunk in my head and I can actually make a French Knot!!! Yeah!!! I now know why when I made them in the past they would look great at first then uncoil in no time.
Once I finish with this ornament I have one more to make and be completely finsihed by next Friday.
Thanks so much for all of your wonderful comments! And Welcome to my new followers!

Thanks for the link to the tutorial. I have the hardest time with French knots.
I too shy away from french knots - hate them - I always substitute with beads!
Love the garland from Lisa - it looks great hanging up!
Your ornie from Edgar is lovely - I bet it looks great hanging on your tree with the rest of his ornies!
I'm soo pleased you liked all your goodies Lisa.
Hugs
I love both of the ornaments you received in your exchanges, they're both stunning. I don't blame you for hiding the Ghiradelli chocolates, I'd keep them for myself too.
What lovely gifts from Lisa. Love the ornament she stitched for you.
Lovely exchange from Edgar.
I hate French Knots too but I keep trying to do. Sometimes they turn out OK yet other times they are a disaster!
