So not only was I getting ready for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day dinner but I was also trying to finish 2 ornaments for my son's teachers! Luckily I finished them both last night and was wrapping them at 6am this morning for him to bring into school. Talk about cutting it close.

This is the one I made for his teacher. The one with all of those french knots!!!! The good thing was I finally learned how to make them properly thanks to the blog I mentioned in my last post!! I cheated a bit by using beads for the buttons on the gingerbread men. I hope his teacher likes what I made her.

This is the one i made for my son's Music Teacher. She has been his music teacher since kindergarten and she is also his chorus teacher. This is the last year he will have her as he goes to middle school next year. She has always been sweet to him so he wanted to give her something.
Here are a couple of pictures of my Christmas trees. This one is 9ft high and is in my family room.
And here is my "Edgar" section lol
Here is my Palm Tree Christmas Tree which I have out on my Lanai. The ornaments are hibiscus flowers and the lights have surf boards & Hawaiian shirts on them. I had more ornaments like Santa's at the beach & Flamingos but last year a big wind came and knocked my tree over. Sadly most of them broke so I left them off all together this year. I have to find some other things to put on it next year.
The past couple of day's was cookie baking time! I had DH home so he was helping me out by baking some while I feverishly stitched the ornaments for my son's teachers. He made Chocolate Chip cookies & Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookies. Yesterday I made Mexican Wedding Cakes & Linzer Cookies. I usually make Linzer bars but I wanted to try making them into cookies. Here is the result of that!
I remember as a kid going to a bakery with my parents and them letting me pick out a cookie. I always picked Linzer cookies! I LOVE them!
Thanks so very much for stopping by!! I really appreciate it!!
Have a Great Day!
