Valentine From Sheril

Friday afternoon I received a wonderful Valentine exchange from Sheril (no blog). She had my name in the HOE Valentine exchange.
Sheril stitched for me "Friendship Bird " by Stitchy Kitty! This is one of my favorite designs! She also included some wonderful goodies which I love and will definitely use. The floss she used for the tail is just lovely.  It is EdMar rayon floss and not only are the colors very vibrant but it is so very soft to the touch.

 I went to a baby shower for my niece Marlo today. It was given at her mother in law's house and it was fabulous! The shower started at 10 am and when I first got the invitation I was wondering why it was so early. Then I thought maybe they were having a brunch? I was right! They had so much food there and everything I ate was delicious! There was french toast, scrambled eggs (which I will not eat lol) bagels, 2 different types of cream cheese, bacon, breakfast sausage, pork roll, tuna sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches, salads and loads of desserts!
Marlo & her husband Jay received so many adorable gifts for their new son. She is having a C-section on February 28th so I will be a Great Aunt once again to a little baby boy!
 My other niece (Marlo's younger sister) had a baby on December 12th but my BIL is raising it. Long sad story there.
 Anyway I got to hold my other great  nephew a lot today! He is such a sweetie! It feels so good to hold a newborn. I love the way they smell and they are so cuddly ;)

I am working on an exchange now. I did finish MLQ and will post when I take a picture.
