I participated in the Hooked On Exchanging Group's yearly Stitch Red For The Heart Exchange. The only rules are to stitch something red. My partner was Diana and I chose to stitch "Love" by Debbie Draper which can be found here in her freebie designs. I used red varigated DMC and 28ct DMC linen. I decided to try and make a needlebook. I just looked at one I had that someone else made and went from there. Although my sewing is far from perfect I think it came out pretty good! Diana received it and she said she loved it and will definitely use it.
This past week seemed way too long to me. The very shocking & sad news about Lisa Roswell really disturbed me. Although I didn't know Lisa personally, I have always admired her designs and read her blog. I also won a giveaway from her blog back in late October/Early November for a little witch ornament she named Serafina. I have a picture posted here on my blog from when I received her. I have Serafina here with me in my stitching room and she is hanging on a little wire dress form I have sitting on my sewing machine table. I adored her from the first time I saw her and now she is just so extra special to me because she will always remind me of Lisa. I had wanted to mention this the other day after hearing of her accident but I honestly couldn't bring myself to. It amazes how we have all never met eachother in person but somehow we have a bond through stitching.
With that I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I truly appreciate you all stopping by and leaving a comment.
Enjoy the week ahead!
