Easter SAL Part 3 & 4

Here is part 3 & 4 of my Easter SAL. I had them done last week but didn't have a chance to post them here.

I started part 5 yesterday and I am half way done with it and will post a picture soon.

I didn't have much stitching time this past weekend. On Friday DS was off from school due to "Professional Day" which is just a day for the teachers to plan their lessons etc. They happen once a month here. I certainly don't remember getting 1 day off  a month when I went to school for that but whatever! LOL DH also took the day off to do "something" however I had other plans for him :)

Being the weather has been so nice and the humidity is still low or non exsistant I suggested that we work on the flowerbed in front and get some fresh cedar mulch put down. It seems every year we end up doing it when it is 90F and the humidity is 100%.  So after some grumbeling on his part the plan was set in motion.  The flowerbed needed to be weeded. So he got out there and by the time I made my way out he had it all done (insert cheesy grin here) lol We have a pick up truck so we went to the local nursery and picked up 1 yard of mulch. My job was to go in and pay and when we got home to level the mulch out while DH shoveled it into the flowerbed. LOL  We ended up stopping when we were out of mulch and then took the rest of the day off. Saturday morning we went back to get another yard of mulch then came home and finished. All I have to do now is wait and see how my plants come back after being dormant for the winter and then fill in where we need more color. DH & I have different views on the flowerbed. He likes minimal plants and I like it full and blooming with color. That is the only thing we disagree on which is a good thing :)

I worked on finishing Cherries by LHN. I made it into a small pillow and added some cherry buttons. All I have left is to stuff it and sew the opening closed. I have some housework to get to today and if I have time and am not too tired I will finish it off.

I don't think I ever mentioned it but I have Fibromyalgia and these past few months it has really flared up. I went to the Rheumatologist on Tuesday and he had to change my medication. I was taking Darvocet and now that it is off the market needed something else. The Darvocet wasn't really working aymore anyway so he suggested I try Lyrica. I started it on Wednesday night and I can really feel a difference already. He had me start by taking 1 everynight before bed for 5 days then take 2 a day (1 in the morning and one at night) after that. Today is my first day taking it during the day so we shall see how it effects me. Enough about that!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate all of your comments and really enjoy reading them!

Have a great day!

Good luck on the new meds.

I am also a fibromyalgia sufferer but for now I am doing it med free.

Although, with this new job I have a feeling I might need to start taking something. We will have to see.

Hello Lisa. Thanks for stopping by dear and sharing your experience. It seems these things occurs much more than we believe, even with the advancement of "technology".
Your SAL is beautiful. Very pretty indeed. I don't know where you ladies find these SALs. I am obviously living under a rock somewhere. LOL.
I had to chuckle about you and your DH's flowerbed. You both sound like my DH and I. LOL. Agree to disagree. LOL. Makes the world turn.
I hope your medication will work out for you. I know of two ladies here locally that suffer from it. It really sounds like something to deal with; so I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs and take care.
Jackie.
