Birthday Presents From Lisa V

Halloween (October 31st) is my birthday! So I thought it was fitting to put up a blog background that had a self portrait of me flying through the moon! LOL  I've always wondered how my image has gotten out there!?
Anyway....

Last week I received this fabulous package from Lisa V for my birthday!!  Lisa sent me 2 beautifully stitched and finishes pieces and a whole bunch of extra's!!! The first stitched piece is  one of the Prairie Fairies from Prairie Schooler  and she finished it off as a lovely pinkeep! The second piece is called "Stitching Things" by Homespun Elegance. Lisa said she tried a new type of finishing and she used a wicker coaster for the backing! It came out GREAT and I think it is a wonderful idea! I LOVE both of them!!
 Lisa also sent me a wooden butterfly thread keep which she had handmade just for me!! She had it painted in my favorite color too:) It is gorgeous and I LOVE it!!! She also included a couple of hand dyed threads, a couple of pieces of fabric, a beautiful butterfly necklace and a magnetic plaque (which I have displayed on my file cabinet next to me ).

 I also received a little something from Lisa's DS! Lisa say's he is fascinated by the fact that I raise butterflies so he sent me a  gorgeous paper butterfly that he decorated himself!! I can now say I have a butterfly that flew all the way from Australia :)
 I have him hanging on the wall right next to my desk.
