Exchanges Received

Yesterday was a wonderful mail day!! I am in the HOE group and we are doing a perpetual ornament exchange. This rounds theme was snowman. I sent my exchange out on Wednesday to my partner . It has a long way to go so hopefully she will get it soon!
I received my Snowman Ornament from Edgar!! How lucky was I to receive an ornament from him 2 times so far!  I may have to make and "Edgar section" on my Christmas tree LOL

Edgar stitched "Let It Snow" by CCN from the JCS 2008 Ornament Issue. He said he basically used the floss called for but made a few changes. I love how he finished it too!
Edgar didn't know but I have loved this design since seeing it for the first time. I knew one day I would get around stitching it for myself . Now I don't have to!! Edgar couldn't have picked a more perfect design to stitch for me.
Thank You so very much Edgar! I LOVE it!!

I was also in the Blackbird Designs Yahoogroup's Mystery Exchange  which I mentioned in an earlier post. The pincushions were mailed this past week and most of us received them yesterday.
I found out that Jackie received the one I made and I received the one Paula made!
Paula stitched "Basket of Memories Remember Me" on the most gorgeous hand dyed fabric. I *think* the color is bittersweet. She also changed the floss colors from what was called for as she said she doesn't like just using 1 color. It is absolutely gorgeous and something I will treasure!
I am going to display it in my basket full of smalls on my coffee table in my living room.

Thank You for a wonderful exchange Paula!

As for me I am finishing up a replacement exchange for Laura. I should have it done in a few days and mail it out this comming week. Hopefully this one reaches her.

It has been so hot here the past few weeks! It feels like August ;(  I would rather deal with this heat than the cold of winter though. So I just look at this as my "winter time". You know when it is cold and you don't want to go outside. It is the same for me just the opposite temperatures  :)
We haven't had much rain here in Florida  although this is suppose to be our rainy season and unfortunately that means wild fires.  There aren't any in my immediate area but we are getting the smoke from them.

Well that's about it from me! I hope you are all doing well !

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

VEry nice goodies! I love the change in the BBD... amazing how different it looks when stitched with a variety. Think I may have to steal this idea....

Sweet little pincushion you received.
Its pouring down with rain here today, another wet and wild day for us. I'm glad though, prefer this time of year here compared to a stinking hot summer.

Great exchange pieces! I've dealt with
Florida heat once before and I swore on my life that I would never step foot down there again in the Summer time! Hot is an understatement :) Then add the Disney lines and the walking and even though it's my favorite place on earth I'll only visit in the Winter!
